Bloomsburg Loses to Gannon in Lacrosse

ERIE--The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team lost to Gannon University on Sunday afternoon by a score of 20-7.

Gannon scored the first six goals of the game before Alex Totino (Port Jefferson Statoion, NY/Sachem) scored with 19:11 left in the first half. The Knights then scored six of the next goals to lead 12-3 at the break.

In the second half, the Huskies narrowed the deficit to 12-5 on goals by Megan Taylor (West Chester/West Chester), Kelsey Quigley (Lansdale/Methacton) and Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove), but Gannon then tallied the next eight goals to put the game out of reach. Quigley closed out the scoring in the game with a goal with 4:31 to play.

Quigley and Toms led the Huskies, now 2-6, with two goals each, while Gannon, 5-4, got six goals from Krista Schunk.

Bloomsburg hosts Shippensburg on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
